Marius is the founder of futureoftheocean, a platform open for all voices interested in the future of humankind and especially in the future of seas and oceans and people working and living at, on and in seas and oceans.
He also founded in 2008 the “Maritime Group” on LinkedIn and XING and he is the senior administrator of “Shipbuilding Industry and Professional” group on LinkedIn.
Marius is a highly skilled naval architect with more than 26 years of experience in maritime industry (ships and offshore) and holds a Ph.D. in hydrodynamics but his main specialization is maritime structures.
During his 24 years with two prestigious classification societies (Germanischer Lloyd and Det Norske Veritas. These companies have merged in 2014 in DNV GL), he was involved as approval, verification engineer and project manager approvals in the approval and verification of various maritime projects including newbuilding, units in operations and offshore equipment.
Marius was also the coordinator of the DNV GL-led JIP for development of standard for equipment for pipeline and cable offshore operations and he collaborated with Aberdeen University Subsea Engineering MSc programme as guest lector and industrial coordinator for MSc graduation projects.

Ramona is the administrator of futureoftheocean platform and also contributes to the administration of “Maritime Group” and “Shipbuilding Industry and Professional” group on LinkedIn.
She has a degree in economics and she is highly skilled in project management and facilities management.
Ramona likes to travel and to discover new places and their people. She is also passionate about the nature.

Ronald is our content manager & modern communication expert. He now works at launching the FutureOfTheOcean concept on Facebook and Instagram at the same time optimising the design of the website for increasing our visibility online.
Ronald is passionate about flight and airplanes – he graduated Napier’s Management of Airlines program, but working in financial services now.
He became aware of the ecological changes in the seas and oceans therefore he is now very interested in bringing his contribution to the positive transformation of the relation of humankind with our waters in a collaborative, symbiotic relation.
